Summer and this week

So summer is around the way, but so far I have already checked out. Until now, I have been able to get away with it because there wasn't anything due. But all of a sudden in this paticular week, I just got flooded with projects and sleepless nights. This is really a bad thing. I'm already summer to start so in the face of all these I am doing a really bad job at keeping up. For example while everyone else is doing a matrix lab or something, I'm still stuck doing the moonlight lab that was due so long ago. I really don't know what I'm going to do to catch up. maybe if I skip a few periods I can actuatly pass this class. Anyways, I'm starting to talk like Holden Caufeild. It's probably because I stayed up all night last night finish an English and Spanish project. The worst thing about it is I still need to another project that was suppose to be due today, but couldn't do it last night because I left it at school. It would just be childish to blame other people for my mistakes so I'm just going to take this like a man. Life will probably throw harder curve balls than this and i'm pretty sure I am better at handling things like this than most people. Also, my sentences are starting to runon.

A reflection of this New xna program

So right now I'm very behind in this class so I can't really say much about it, but from what i've done so far I can tell I like this program alot better than i do JCreator. The transition between Jcreator and XNA is some what easy, but still there are some parts where I still have to integrate into the new settings. For example in the moonlight lab, I was used to just instantiating something like a color all in one like "Color a = new color();" but in XNA, you must name what your instantiating first followed by giving it all the parameters to it. Another new feature that I've noticed is the auto type settings on XNA. I find this very amazing and very useful in my laziness. Auto type is a function of XNA where when I type in a few letters of code, it displays a list of objects and other things that it assumes I would type up, like variable names. With auto type, i don't have to waste that extra minute checking whether or not my variable names were spelled right.  Another great auto feature is the error bar. In Jcreator, i had to compile the file first before I found out what syntax or logic error I made. But in XNA, the program tells me possible places of error and allows me to fix them with having to wait and compile the file. Anyways, I think that next years compsci class should start with XNA because it is better than Jcreator.

The Value of Working outdoors

last weekend I worked outside mowing this guys acre lawn using only a gas powered push mower. Not only did I have tread through tall itchy grass and dodge benevolent ant piles, but I also had to clean up his entire yard before proceeding with the mowing. By the end of the day, I only got 30 dollars. That means I basically worked 5 dollars and hour. What has this world come to? What happened to the days when if you just had the willingness to work, you got a job? I think this is complete BS, kids now a days only get jobs because their parents know people in the business. While people are working for 8 to 9 dollars an hour getting paychecks that soar into the hundred dollar range each day, I'm stuck doing stereotypical minority work. None the less, I'm learning how to be man. I'm not complaining at all, just making observations. I'm makin my own money and it feels great to be independent. Soon I hope that this expirence will get me into a better job than most people. In the summertime, or even before, I will get a job working at a carwash and working for decent tips.
What I learned sweating all my moisture outside is that one needs to work hard to get paid. Either you work hard at first in school to have an easy life getting payed big bucks, or work everyday just getting enough to get by everyday. Before, I didn't realize the value of education before I was worked to the bone in steaming humid weather. Now I'm a scholar who actuatly cares about school.

The urge to protest

I have matured in such a way that, I see things too realistically. I view the outcomes, I view all consequence that may occur with any action, I view all benefits and view them with the risks. I believe that I see more than what the average voter sees. I see a country in peril, a society stricken with greed and grief, a disutopian world that other maay seem as perfect. Its sadly existentialists, true, but when I see people around me agree or atleast realize the world that I see, I get happy. I have been raised to stand for whats right, and latey, I've only seen wrong. And the wrong doers, are infact, the people we elect into office. capitalism has a tendancy to rot from the inside out. Our leaders have given up on us and now we are either struggling even harder to survive, or conform to the substanace of the very thing that made us dependant. So why stand and watch it all happen. For example, I was out raged when I first learned that Texas cut money to its own education system. What better way to ruin your community than to destroy the investment of improvent that comes with schools?
Ever since I was a small child, I was always hassled by my parents to get only As and do the hardest in school. It stuck with me and as I grew up, I realized the value of eductaion more and more each year. Sadly, more and more kids are falling into the

The (dis)advantages with working with a coworker who happens to be the opposite sex and are slightly into one another

So this semester, productivity has suffered immensely. At one point I was confident about my stance in AP java, but now being behind in one lab caused me to end up in "lab debt". Even though everyone in the entire class has completed Tic tac Toe like 3 weeks ago, I have barely started to unravel its secrets. Whats with the loss of productivity? The question can simply be answered with the fact that I am a teenage boy who sits next to another teenage girl.
I do not mean to put all the blame on my classmate, but seriously. There must be a corralation between my new found single life and my relationship with my classmate. With this in mind, more attention has slowly been dirvirted to said classmate and not on work, even though I strive something. Not only that, but it seems as though our conversations have been more and more interesting as time passes by. We are usually side tracked by such conversations such as "dyson spheres" and "type 3 civilizations".
A strange phenomena occurs in class as well. Time has seem to elude me to such an extent that even if it seemed like I've only worked for 10 minutes, class has already ended. After catching this, I recorded mentally what I did during the day. Sure enough, half of it was spent staring of into space around the vicintiy of my classmate.
The purpose of this blog was not to incrimidate my collegue, nor was it a sign that I wanted to switch seating arrangements. There are also major upsides to having her on my side. For one, she is the biggest force that keeps me up and running through the class. Just the fact that I have a good friend with me is energy enough to keep me excited and like computer programming. Also, we use each other for like questions and help one another
So all in all, I like where i am at physically, just not work wise :P

The trials of trying to have a social life.

So I've been single for about 2 weeks now. My ex immediatly started to have friends the day after we broke up, while I, kept the number of friends the same. Soon, the once routine phone calls ended. It seemed that she was too busy to even text me. After days of fighting and complaining about this fact, I finally came to the fact that I need to leave her alone and do something else.
At first, I started asking everyone if they could hang out. I started to get a full list and everything was good. But as the week progressed, all of potential hang outs either flaked or had to cancel. In the end I had to spend time with my ex, a day that brought more trouble than help.
The next week, I made a friend who went to Buda. She was recently going through a break up just like me and I thought it would be nice if I saw her and comforted her and probably go somewhere with her. The plan was I hangout with her over Friday night and spend the night over. Sounded like a good plan. However something terribly bad happened. While I was texting my ex in class, the teacher saw my phone and picked it up. That phone was the life line to all my friends and ability to escape the house. Without it, all of my plans imploded. So now I'm just getting alot of, "hey let's hang out" and having to decline them just because I don't have a phone. It sucks.

Relationships

So lately I have been in  an emotional rollercoaster. It's all because of a little high school relationship problems. If there is a lesson i learned this week, that is you will never ever be with your first love forever. Unless you're ms. Young. I never ever want to date again! I will promise myself to make sure no other woman breaks my heart like she did. Let me tell you something about relationships, don't try. The more you try, the harder the heartbreak. Also, if you have fallen in love for the first time, lower your exceptions. do not think you will marry her or have children with her or grow old together.
But if you really need help than follow this advice. When approaching a woman, be bold, be brave, have confidence. When engaging in talking, don't be nervous. If you feel uneasy, she'll feel uneasy. Also, don't waste that much money on her at first. Also, be a gentlemen. No chick will think of as a great if you treat her badly. If you merely open doors for her, she will only like you more and will get you close together.

Type 1 civilizations

We are on the verge of the most revolutionary evolution that Earth has ever gone through. Humans, the only beings in the Solar system to take notice of their surroundings and manipulate it to their advantage, are in the midst of becoming the most important being in the known galaxy. We are on the verge of becoming a type 1 civilization.
The Kardashev scale determines the advancement of a civilization by looking at what technologies, energy scources, and energy output that civilization has. There are 3 main levels on the scale, Type 1, type 2, and type 3 civilizations, one greater than the other. Currently humans are a type 0, still using simple fuels and totally at mercy with its home planet. Type 1s have the ability to control their own planet and use highly efficient fuels. Type 2s have the ability to go stellar and manipulate the energy from stars. Type 3s affect their entire galaxy, possibly using energy emitted from super massive black holes.
Humans have already gone stellar, leaving their home planet to explore other worlds, a type 1 characteristic. There are other signs of our advancement however. Currently, our consumption of fossil fuels is causing the Earth's climate to shift dramatically, an action never done before by any other species in earth's history. Even we do it unconciously, we still have that ability to change the world. The invention of renewable resources is also an example of Type 1 characteristics. Some of the bigger advancements involve weather. In the UAE, A group of scientists were able to produce a rain storm in the desert in the middle of a dry season via ionization. With such technology already in our hands, we might have the ability to reverse global warming and control the climate consciously.
If we are to fully transition to type 1, we must change our resources. Even though renewable resources provide an endless supply of energy, they are inefficient and don't produce enough energy for a type 1. An efficient energy source might be found through fusion power. The ability to fuse Hydrogen pulled from ocean waterninto Helium can release a tremendous amount of energy per second. Another source is through antimatter fission. Anti-matter in contact with regular matter outputs pure energy. just a few grams of antimatter can supply the entire earth with energy for years.
