Type 1 civilizations

We are on the verge of the most revolutionary evolution that Earth has ever gone through. Humans, the only beings in the Solar system to take notice of their surroundings and manipulate it to their advantage, are in the midst of becoming the most important being in the known galaxy. We are on the verge of becoming a type 1 civilization.
The Kardashev scale determines the advancement of a civilization by looking at what technologies, energy scources, and energy output that civilization has. There are 3 main levels on the scale, Type 1, type 2, and type 3 civilizations, one greater than the other. Currently humans are a type 0, still using simple fuels and totally at mercy with its home planet. Type 1s have the ability to control their own planet and use highly efficient fuels. Type 2s have the ability to go stellar and manipulate the energy from stars. Type 3s affect their entire galaxy, possibly using energy emitted from super massive black holes.
Humans have already gone stellar, leaving their home planet to explore other worlds, a type 1 characteristic. There are other signs of our advancement however. Currently, our consumption of fossil fuels is causing the Earth's climate to shift dramatically, an action never done before by any other species in earth's history. Even we do it unconciously, we still have that ability to change the world. The invention of renewable resources is also an example of Type 1 characteristics. Some of the bigger advancements involve weather. In the UAE, A group of scientists were able to produce a rain storm in the desert in the middle of a dry season via ionization. With such technology already in our hands, we might have the ability to reverse global warming and control the climate consciously.
If we are to fully transition to type 1, we must change our resources. Even though renewable resources provide an endless supply of energy, they are inefficient and don't produce enough energy for a type 1. An efficient energy source might be found through fusion power. The ability to fuse Hydrogen pulled from ocean waterninto Helium can release a tremendous amount of energy per second. Another source is through antimatter fission. Anti-matter in contact with regular matter outputs pure energy. just a few grams of antimatter can supply the entire earth with energy for years.
