The (dis)advantages with working with a coworker who happens to be the opposite sex and are slightly into one another

So this semester, productivity has suffered immensely. At one point I was confident about my stance in AP java, but now being behind in one lab caused me to end up in "lab debt". Even though everyone in the entire class has completed Tic tac Toe like 3 weeks ago, I have barely started to unravel its secrets. Whats with the loss of productivity? The question can simply be answered with the fact that I am a teenage boy who sits next to another teenage girl.
I do not mean to put all the blame on my classmate, but seriously. There must be a corralation between my new found single life and my relationship with my classmate. With this in mind, more attention has slowly been dirvirted to said classmate and not on work, even though I strive something. Not only that, but it seems as though our conversations have been more and more interesting as time passes by. We are usually side tracked by such conversations such as "dyson spheres" and "type 3 civilizations".
A strange phenomena occurs in class as well. Time has seem to elude me to such an extent that even if it seemed like I've only worked for 10 minutes, class has already ended. After catching this, I recorded mentally what I did during the day. Sure enough, half of it was spent staring of into space around the vicintiy of my classmate.
The purpose of this blog was not to incrimidate my collegue, nor was it a sign that I wanted to switch seating arrangements. There are also major upsides to having her on my side. For one, she is the biggest force that keeps me up and running through the class. Just the fact that I have a good friend with me is energy enough to keep me excited and like computer programming. Also, we use each other for like questions and help one another
So all in all, I like where i am at physically, just not work wise :P
